Cheesemaking; Two Day, Hands on Workshop

27 Oct 12 - 28 Oct 12

This two day cheesemaking course is the most intensive cheesemaking course in Australia.

It is 100% hands on, you will perform all of the cheesemaking, from measuring out the milk, adding the starter cultures and rennet to cutting, cooking and moulding the curds and so on.

Graham has trained commercial cheesemakers for nearly 30 years and he uses this experience to pass on those techniques.

This is a very busy cheesemaking course, there is no automation involved, everything aspect of each cheese is handmade by you, and the equipment that you will be using is readily available (or will be currently used in your own home).

Each step of the cheesemaking process is fully explained in very simple and easy to understand language. The aim of the course is to enable you to go home and make not one or two but many varieties of cheeses.

The unique aspect of the course is that over the two days you will have built up a very in depth knowledge of the right ways and the wrongs ways to do this.

At the conclusion of the course you sit down to celebrate your efforts with some wine and cheeses.
